If the person you purchase a puppy from doesn't have a legitimate registered internet based web site or actual place of residency or business. And makes excuses or insist on a alternate meeting place to sell you a puppy. You could be supporting a puppy mill owner or being scammed by someone in another country.

Their are a lot of money scammers on the internet that take advantage of innocent pet lovers.

From what we were told by the police their are several different pet scammers that are ripping off a lot of innocent people.  They copy the cutest puppy pictures from other breeder web sites and post them in Puppy Find and anywhere they can post their pet classified ads. That is why these web sites ratings are drastically dropping.

They make you believe that you are sending them money for an adorable little puppy. Once they have received your payment in form of western union, money gram or check, they start to delay sending the pet or immediately stop responding to your calls and e-mails.
